do I get started?

a free introductory lesson.
Q: What is the cost
of lessons?
A: We offer an introductory
program that is inexpensive and flexible in regards
to your goals. What dances you want to learn, the level
of skill you wish to achieve and the amount of time
you want to invest all determine the cost of your dance
instruction.
Q: What methods of payment
are accepted?
A: We accept VISA, MasterCard, American Express,
as well as personal checks.
Q:
Are classes convenient for my busy schedule?
A: Our studios are open from 1 p.m. to 10 p.m.,
Monday through Friday. We will create a schedule
that's convenient for you, perhaps learning to
swing at lunchtime or tango after dinner.
Q: How long is the program?
A: The length of the program will depend on your
goals in regard to number of dances, skill level,
and frequency of lessons. Remember that learning
to dance is fun and easy. After only a few short
lessons, you will begin to show progress.
Q; Where is the studio located?
A: Niantic Arthur Murray studio is located at 287 Main St. in Niantic, Connecticut.
Q: What area does the studio serve?
A: Bloomfield Arthur Murray serves the greater New London area. Located just minutes from New London, students from many Connecticut towns study at our studio.
Q: Can a person with
"two left feet" learn to dance?
A: We pride ourselves on the ease and effectiveness
of our instruction. We teach four basic (and simple)
movements, which can be implemented in learning new
combinations. Arthur Murray Dance Studios have successfully
trained thousands of people, many of whom had two
of those "left feet." Each of our lessons
are guaranteed to be to your satisfaction.
Q: How knowledgeable
are the instructors?
A: All of our dance trainers must complete a very
strict training regimen. They must have extensive
experience on the dance floor in addition to possessing
the educational techniques necessary to teach the
current popular dances. The Arthur Murray Dance instructors
selected for you personally are best suited for your
personality and goals.
Q: Will there be people
my age learning to dance?
A: Dancing is the first line of social activity.
We instruct everyone from young teenagers to grandmothers
in their 70s. Acquiring good dancing skills will only
serve to improve poise, instill confidence, and expand
your social circle. No partner required.
Q: What steps can I
learn?
A: We provide instruction on all social dances: Disco,
Hustle, Swing, Fox Trot, Rumba, Mambo, Waltz, Samba,
Merengue and Tango, etc. The latest novelty or fad
dances are taught as well. Learn hot Latin dancing!
From the fiery Salsa to "dirty dancing",
to discovering the Merengue (a cruise favorite).
Top it off with the romantic Bolero and you have
all the elements of a night in Puerto Vallarta. Whether
it's the elegance of a grand ball, an evening of
dining and dancing, or pursuing your dream of being
a competitive dancer, the grace and poise learned
with this style is for you. Prepare for weddings,
cruises, New Year's, or just a night on the town.
We teach all the latest steps. Swing, Jive, Lindy
Hop, or West Coast it's fun, exciting, and great
exercise!
